the Words

Words that are changing my life…

Psalm 27.

Psalm 118.

Forever. These passages will be seared in my brain and on my soul. These are the passages that were given to my mom and family at the beginning of “cancer”.  She read them every night.  It connects me to her. It connects me to the Father. It was clear that there was a message in it to all of us… was it hope? A message of hope? I don’t think I’ll know until I see her again.

What are the scriptures that sick with you? The words that have been spoke over you? Perhaps you know the message… perhaps you are still waiting like me. Please share. You never know who might be reading, and who might be needing to hear.

  1. Thank you for sharing your story here Katie. My wife lost her father several years ago to a very sudden diabetic coma. I remember clearly the theme at that time – our Father in heaven is always with us. I am encouraged to know He was with you and your family also.

One of my favorite verses has always been – http://bible.us/Phil4.6.NASB

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Blessings, and encouragement in your writings and walk with Jesus.

    1. Thanks Caleb. I appreciate the encouragement, the scripture, and also the sharing that your wife went through something similar. It helps to know we are not alone.
