Either . . . . you believe God is God or you don’t.
Either you will choose to see the glory of the Risen One all around you or you will not.
Either you love God or you do not.
We beg God for a sign. But He already gave one.
We beg God to intervene. But He already has.
We beg God for a second chance. But we are already on our two-hundredth and fortieth chance, and yet He gives us another.
We doubt. We mistrust. We listen when our flesh says that we aren’t enough and never will be.
All the while, He says, “I love you. I love you. I love you.”
I want to recognize His voice when He speaks. I want to be familiar with His presence so that I know when He is near.
“Earth’s crammed with heaven, and every common bush afire with God; but only he who sees, takes off his shoes, the rest sit round it and pluck blackberries, and daub their natural faces unaware.” -Elizabeth Barrett Browning.
STOP. Be still. Listen. Take off your shoes for you may very well be standing on holy ground.
